摘要：This paper proposes a dynamic research contest with two asymmetric contestants: a procrastinatory leader who has certain competition advantage (i.e., embody a breakthrough and present-biased preference), and a time-consistent chaser who needs to achieve two breakthroughs to win the contest. The principal can set a noticeboard which either immediately broadcasts the first breakthrough of the chaser, or announces the contest results until the terminus. We characterize the unique x-start, y-stop equilibrium in such asymmetric dynamic contest with behavioral concerns, in which the leader will start working until a time x to the end of the contest while the chaser will stop working by the time y. We further compare the asymmetric incentives of the two disclosure policies.
